This white peach cold brew iced tea is a refreshing and fruity drink that couldn’t be more perfect for summer. It’s also made with no added sugar and is, of course, vegan-friendly. Read on for the recipe so you can make your own!
Summer is a vague concept in my adopted home of Yorkshire. The past few days we were rejoicing that it finally felt like summer, this morning was as grey, dull and windy as ever, then this evening I’ve been for a beautiful walk in the evening sun!
Regardless of how long it may or may not last, this small window of lovely weather has certainly put me in the mood for all things summery. Does anything say summer more than iced tea and berries?
Now, I’m not talking ready-made or powdered iced tea here; I’m talking about cold-brewed iced tea made with real leaves and livened up with frozen berries and fresh mint leaves. As it happens, that’s exactly how I served this white peach cold brew iced tea from Adagio Teas.
The tea comes in big pouches full of delicate white tea leaves and the result is fruity and fresh without being overly sweet. Cold brewing is the perfect technique for white tea as it can be easily scorched by boiling water, resulting in a bitter astringent taste and diminishing the health benefits.
- 1 pouch white peach tea
- 1 litre cold water
- Handful frozen blackberries
- Handful fresh mint leaves
- Tray of ice cubes (2 trays if
- Place the white peach tea pouch in a large jug and pour over the cold water. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Remove from the fridge and stir well.
- Remove the tea bag from the jug and add the frozen berries, mint leaves and ice cubes.
