My snack drawer is always in need of a new treat to add into the mix and I can’t wait to share my newest discovery: Wild Thing Bars.
Although it might not seem like it at first, there’s a fair amount of common ground between paleo and vegan diets. The rise in paleo snacks that are dairy-free, clearly labelled as dairy-free and increasingly widely available is unintentionally brilliant for vegans too.
Once such snack that I’ve been
scoffing trying out recently is Wild Thing Bars – a range of snacks that are vegan-friendly, paleo, raw, gluten-free, organic and have no added sugar. That’s quite a list! I love the fact that they’re not heavily processed and only contain a short list of recognisable ingredients.
I’ve been finding Wild Thing Bars make the perfect afternoon snack to tide me over until dinner. They’re not as blended as some bars and it makes a nice change to get the texture of the individual ingredients, such as the nuts and seeds. The flavours all come from the ingredients too; there’s no added flavourings so they avoid the artificial-tasting tang that some raw snack bars can have and the natural taste can shine through.
These are just a few of the wholesome ingredients you’ll find in Wild Thing Bars:
Wild Thing Bars come in equally delicious five flavours:
Cacao & Almond: this has a rich chocolate character but isn’t sweet, so it satisfies any chocolate cravings without setting off sugar cravings (just what I want from an afternoon snack!) and the little pieces of almond add a little extra bite.
Coconut & Chia: if you’re a coconut fan, then this is for you! The coconut flavour is combined with a slight hint of tropical fruit from acerola powder and the delicate crunch of the chia seeds. If I had to choose, I think I’d say this was my favourite.
Berries & Seeds: these ones have a fruity flavour that builds up after a few bites and a strong nuttiness from the seeds – a great combo.
Nuts & Seeds: there’s a lot of texture to these ones and they have a very natural subtle taste. If you love nuts and seeds as much as I do, you’ll adore it.
